the rules
Respect staff and other users at all times.
You don't need to be silent, but try to keep noise to a minimum so you don't disturb other users.
If staff have to warn you about noise you have three chances. The third warning will result in you being banned for the remainder of the day.
You will be charged for every sheet printed.
Make sure you only print as many copies as you want, and that you have it set up to print correctly. Ask a member of staff if you need help.
No mugs or cups are allowed at the computers.
This is to protect the equipment. We have seating areas away from the computers - use them!
Bottles with lids are allowed at the computers but be aware that you must pay for any damage to equipment.
You are liable for any damage you cause to equipment.
We simply don't have the money to cover damage to equipment. The equipment is not easy to damage but please be careful. Accidents are not excused. You must pay for any damage you cause, or risk being banned. Intentional damage to equipment will result in an immediate lifetime ban from the premises.
Pornographic material is NOT ALLOWED on the premises.
Porn sites are blocked to prevent users being accidentally redirected to a porn site. Advertising is also blocked, which should prevent pornographic adverts from being displayed. However, due to the internet being an unregulated medium there is simply no way to block all pornographic material. As such, users are expected not to try to view or download any pornography. If staff have to warn you about pornography you have three chances. The third warning will result in you being banned for the remainder of the day. Intentionally and consistently breaking this rule will lead to a lifetime ban.
All screens can be seen by staff.
This rule includes newspapers or magazines that you bring into the Internet Cafe.
